A comparison of last year's performance on a per minute basis of LU's rebounders:

Kirby 9.1 r/40m 7.1 p/40 .458 fg% 289m

Jackson 7.0 23.6 .669 765m

Shanks 7.0 16.8 .542 391m

Ingram 6.8 16.7 .529 945m

It is interesting how shanks & Ingrams stats track.

It's a lot harder to put up those numbers over 1,000 minutes than 400 minutes.

I like your idea of the Depth Chart but I feel that a few areas will be different.

PG Custer/Skokna
SG Richardson/Satterwhite/Williamson
SF Townes/Avery
PF Ingram/Jackson/Negron
C Shanks/Krutwig

Coach always likes donte as a 4, especially this past year we saw a lot of donte playing the 4 with milt at SF.

Also with Shanks I just feel that since he has more experience over Krutwig, but I really do hope they challenge each other just because I feel Krutwig can benefit so much from year battling a bigger guy. Maybe it toughens him up a little more.

Townes in my opinion just has to be a starting spot. So just with him an milt both 6'4 I feel SF fits well.

Then with Aundre, he won 6th man of the year last year. I feel he will win it again.

Skanks may start much like Kirby but I expect Krutwig to get the majority of minutes and Negron getting some as well

Skanks is better on offense than Kirby as well as a better shot blocker but had only two more rebounds than Kirby despite 102 more minutes. He is also very foul prone with 90 in only 391 minutes or a foul every 4 minutes. He also had 41 turnovers.

There are pluses and minuses

There is no way Aundre is not going to be starting at power forward. I expect him to be bigger and better than last year and will have less pressure to be our only big line of defense in the paint like last year. With Krutwig and Shanks to share the center position, he now has the whole summer to work on becoming a dominant power forward. I also think in certain situations he will come in at the center position to exploit speed, and neither Krutwig or Shanks will be on the floor.

The big takeaway is our depth gives Moser so much flexibility in lineup decisions that everyone here is basically right.

Some notes:
-My depth chart is in a traditional model, but obviously we play a smaller lineup a lot. From a defensive perspective, most of our players on the depth chart slide up (i.e. Ingram guarding the 4), but our offense isn't a traditional 2 guys on the block set (i.e. we don't set Ingram up as a back-to-the-basket scorer). Offensively, we play more of a PG, SG, SG, SF, PF/C set, which is why I put Ingram at the 3.
-Looking at my depth chart, I also am starting to lean more towards moving Williamson away from the guard position to more of a swing forward.
-While I made Skokna our backup PG for next season, I (and I have a hunch Porter would agree with me) don't think he's the PG of the future. PM is very particular in that position, so I think we maybe land a transfer, but make that a recruiting priority for the 2018 class and hope Custer stays another year?
-Shanks will start to take the tip next year like Kirby (because otherwise what's the point of having a 7 footer), but I don't see either him or Krutwig being the clear #1. It would be nice for a kid like Krutwig to come in and start dominating as a freshman, but that's more of a hope and not an expectation. The way I see it, if both of them gives us 15 minutes each, coupled with Jackson contributing around 25 minutes and Negron contributing 15, that's more than enough of an improvement from our post play last year. At the very least, it would mean we don't overrely on a smaller lineup to play help defense for 40 minutes.

PM is a defense first coach....I think this accounts for Glako going....did not have the foot speed to guard outisde nor was he a rim protector inside...One of the results of the new rules that allowed more offensive movement,,all ball handlers are getting to the rim more often .....so you need a rim protector which makes me think Shanks will get a lot playing time especially when we have a lead....It also as people have pointed out depend on match ups and what PM thinks that game and opponent need...so almost a do we need offense or defense we will see Aundre or Shanks....I think Krutwig will be spending a lot of time learning. Just guessing....I do think Aundre will get some time at the 4......we can go BIG...we can go small

Javon Pickett (Illinois de-commit) is still out there as well

In a previous thread I mentioned our coaches weren't following Pickett so landing him was unlikely... folks that has changed. Idk if it's likely we land him but... what a class it would be if we did. He recently heard from Ohio State so he might be a tough get this late.

*EDIT*

Additionally another name to keep an eye on Delante Jones. 6-5 sophomore guard transferring from American University was the patriot league Freshmen of the year. Averaged about 12ppg in both his freshmen and sophomore season. He was a 3 star product out of high school. Based on the limited info now, Jones would be my pick for our 13th spot. He recently followed Mullins back on twitter.

Coincidentally (or not), Porter's Jacket also recently followed Pickett and Jones on Twitter.

Why am I beginning to suspect that Blers and Porter's Jacket have more in common than simply a love of Rambler basketball?
