Our adjusted defensive efficiency is currently the best of any of Moser's teams here.

Yes, Boise State is pretty good. They're really confident at home, and they have a great 2-3 zone. I think we failed on execution, and I'm not so sure about the game plan. It might have been a perfectly fine strategy going in, but a lot of their players had first half foul trouble and we saw more of their bench guys, who still throttled us. I'll go back to my theory that the mental aspect played a factor. It's all I've got to explain missing 14 point-blank layups or however many it was (OK, it was probably only six missed point-blank layups, but after two in a row and another two minutes later it felt like 14), and going 1 for 10 on threes in the first half, many of them wide open by several feet.

JCT, I'm with you in not understanding that game. I will write it off as the perfect storm.
But, I did have the same thought, that they were in foul trouble and we did not exploit that. And,
the three point barrage is always something I struggle with, as it seems all college defenses
collapse, rotate, etc. when the ball is tossed into the post, then dive back out at the shooters.
What if our BIGs just played straight up, and the other defenders stay home. Worst case the big gets a two,
but eliminating the open three would be a good thing. Besides, if they were covered, they would likely advance
toward the basket where, for the evolution of the game, none of them shoots as wells they do from the
open three point line? I hope Krutwig and Negron will develop into a in the paint presence that can hold up on its own.
Tough night for our guys. I really wanted our players to do well and get the Boise broadcasters to swallow their words. (How rude am I?) I know LU will bounce back. Go Ramblers.

We were blasted by a good team on their court--They were better than us by far --I offer NO excuses nor ant blame, The next time WILL be a different story AT OUR HOUSE or neutral site
We are getting our complete team back---That will help a lot. Our coach IS our COACH. He is also our chief recruiter--No whining from me !!!
I still see a successful Non Con--9-3 or 10-2

I just remembered one of the dumb things their broadcasters said. They were talking about Donte's FT% which is around 65% and one of them said that if you get that up to the 75% range, you can add a couple points per game to your scoring average. The other one chimed in to say, "I would say four or five points." Which would be true... if Donte went to the line 50 times in a game.
