We blew a 19 point second half lead to Tulane.

We blew a 17 point second half lead to Portland State.

So we are improving.

If this trend continues, come conference play our blown second half leads will be in the single digits!

Good to see Swella playing the part of Monty Python...

These losses are inexcusable.

Feels like we play thinking we can't win.

The only thing I can think of is to find new guys to put in at the end of games. But I don't know who those guys are. Not like we have seniors sitting on the bench.

That was weird. I noticed they shut it off during free throws.

Probably because they know the effect it has. Not saying it's the way to go, but maybe an official complaint?

If we were blowing leads to good teams, I'd be somewhat more accepting. But, come on. These are some BAD teams we are blowing leads to. Teams that would be in the cellar of the MVC--a place we should get nice and comfortable with.

I was looking at it, and Tulane has an RPI of 45. I'll call that a mulligan (losing a lead to a good team). But I will not change my opinion on Tennessee Tech and Portland St. Those teams suck and we blew it.

Tulane was 37 before the game. So we're dragging them down, too.

Is there any way to find out if PM has had this problem before?

Seems to be a pretty new phenomenon. He had two losses like this at ISUred:

2004-2005 -- 7 point lead on WSU. 6 point loss

2006-2007 -- 6 point lead on SIU. 9 point loss

Ouch...another one bites the dust!

I'm glad I got to miss this!

Although part of me is still optimistic. I'm really excited about our ability to outscore teams big time...before we decide to blow it. I think that some of the comments about attitude and confidence are pretty accurate. Part of instilling the "culture" which Moser consistently mentions means that our players have to build perseverance and grit. I think we're failing in that department.
