Richardson has been punched in the face twice now. Do we need to punch one of their players straight in the face and break their nose? I'll bet they'd call a foul then.... This is some crap Wardle brought over from the HL, and it needs to be stopped.

It does look like they are taking some cheap shots. I think they're doing it because they are not as good as us at basketball...

King Krut is one rebound away from a double double in the first half.

Some thoughts on the first half:

1) I'm glad, as a team, we are able to play competitively without Custer on the floor. As big of a bummer as it was not to have him when he injured his ankle, I think, long-term, it has definitely made us a deeper team and a better team at learning how to come together when you don't have one of your stars on the floor.

2) Disappointed in Satterwhite's play. With Custer in foul trouble, he got the opportunity to come out on the court and run the offense and show what he has. I think he took a couple of bad shots, and didn't exactly light it up.

3) Krutwig - This guy is just an absolute workhorse. Obviously what sticks out is the four or five shots and rebounds he put up in one possession, to stick with the play and eventually get the basket. Also, for a big man, he is great at seeing the floor and finding the open man in traffic. I still can't believe what a great find Porter got with him. He keeps getting better and better as the season goes on.

4) I've been impressed with Richardson defensively, but I'm hoping he will eventually start to find his shot again and be that extra threat we need from outside the three-lint line.

5) Bradley's Defense -- Maybe it's just our ability to move the ball so quickly on offense, but I'm not that impressed with Bradley's ability to defend, given their defensive stats for the year. We seem to be able to break them down defensively and score easy. Hopefully that keeps up in the second half.

Two comments on your points, Toledo....

Krutwig wasn't so much of a "find," because we won a pretty decent battle for his services, which I like even better. It shows that we can convince players with many options to come here. He committed to us pretty early, but if he hadn't, he'd have a lot more offers.

Bradley is a different team away from home. I don't know if it's confidence, or getting the homer calls when they're playing tightly, but they are very, very good at home. It's not pretty what they do, but it's effective. I've seen them against SIU and part of their UNI game.

Finally they give this guy a technical! I hope he gets thrown out of the game.

I still can't believe what we are seeing out of Drake in conference play this year. They are up handily on Evansville right now, 36-22. It will be an interesting matchup when we play them.

Well Satterwhite might be done. In the first half when he got pulled for the bad 3 he gave Porter attitude. He just got pulled, talked back to Porter, and Porter told him to get out of the chair in the huddle. NOT. GOOD!

Krutwig is so good. With a healthy Custer, we are the best team in the MVC. Would like to see Avery get some minutes.
