OT, and lucky to get there.

Very lucky. Let's see if we can finish one out.

Wow that's a killer. Hurts. Someday we're going to figure out how to win.

Well, I'm just about speechless. It's as if the entire enterprise is an elaborate platform to devise the most painful disappointment imaginable.

Big advantage in rebounds despite absence of Osborne and then O'Leary. Gutsy performance.

Let's go Bears.

Of course we lost. Why wouldn't we lose?

Have the ball with the shot clock dark and we dribble around like idiots and almost lose the ball. This is pathetic.

This is why most large conference schools start their season nursing their new players along with a string of home games. Against D-I competition, we're currently 1-0 at home, 0-4 on the road, and 1-1 at neutral sites. Despite our injuries, illnesses, and short-handedness so far this season, in every road game we've held second-half leads of between 5 and 19 points. We've lost our four road games by 5, 6, 4, and 1 point in OT. It's totally imaginable that with similar team effort, spaced out differently, we could have won all four of the road games.

Most of our schedule was set before we got into the MVC, because Milwaukee (a replacement for a game against Bradley), Tennessee Tech, Mississippi State, Northern Illinois and Fordham are all a result of return games from previous seasons. Hopefully, we'll be able to rest up, get healthy, get some wins, and work some things out in the upcoming homestand against UIC, Campbell, and Northern Illinois. And then let's please never again go 4 weeks and six straight games without a home game against a D-I team.

I get what you're saying, JCT, but it's not like we were playing the big boys of the D1 world. In fact, we were playing the worst of the D1 world. I know we were playing on the road but you are supposed to beat these bad teams...even on the road!

I am outraged that the coach would play the injured Kiki White in a meaningless non-conference game and after he aggravated the injury and the coach still kept him in. Pickett needs playing time and instead you threaten the health of our quality starting point.

It was good to see King & CJ get a few more minutes than ususal (combined 20) and they played well. Miss. St.'s 6-7, 210 lb. Johnson played very well against the short lineups that the coach used against him. It would have been a good game to give O'Leary (who fouled out) more time at forward and King & CJ more time at center, but I guess I just don't think small enough.

My condolences to Doyle who played a good game, 6-8 from the line, but missed the 2 free throws at the end of the game.

I am impressed that no one has really wiped us out this year. We should probably keep the coach around for another 2 years, when we can look for major production from next year's juniors & maybe even 13 healthy scholarship players on the roster. We also in 2 years might see who he uses when he doesn't have Crisman as a starter.
