Good for them. I didn't think they were so utterly awful. And they were doing a kind of a tear-down project there instead of a remodel. Maybe now they'll reel off three or four wins. Delaware State and Chicago State are the last remaining team without wins.

Bradley leading Indiana State 36-30 at the half...

Wright State with a 13-point lead on Oakland at the half. We need Wright State's RPI to get back above 75 for them to be a Group 2 win for us instead of a Group 3 game.

They lost to Cleveland (!) tonight. Their only two conference losses are to Milwaukee (253) and Cleveland (337). They are at 72 right now. They've done well against the two other decent teams in the conference, beating Oakland (129) twice and winning @ N Kentucky (126). It's tempting to think we would dominate the Horizon, but I doubt we would have the same players we have now if we were still in the HL.

Don't look now, but Mississippi Valley State has won two of three to move up to 346 in KenPom and out of the cellar of the SWAC!

Our friends at Norfolk State have made a go of it! Their record looks bad because of a nearly winless non-conference schedule, BUT

They are one of 5 teams (!!!) tied for first place in the MEAC. They play Hampton on Thursday. A win will assure them a share of the title.

It would really help us out if Florida beat Alabama tonight. Their RPI would move back into the 40s, and their resume would look more like their reputation.

Kind of disappointed with the way Wright State closed the season. They beat the best teams in the HL, going 6-0 against Northern Kentucky, UIC, and Oakland. On Jan 28, they were 9-1 in the HL, having just beaten Oakland for the second time. But they got swept by Milwaukee and lost at Cleveland (RPI 311) and IUPUI (RPI 289), going 5-3 in February.

At one point, Wright State, Illinois State and SIU were all Q1 or Q2 wins.

The new Quartile system turns 75 into the crucial cutoff point. An RPI of 75 or better is a Q1 on the road, and an RPI of 31-75 is a Q2 at home. Coincidentally, 75 happens to be the exact number of teams in the ACC, Big East, Big12, Big10, Pac12, and SEC. The exact number...... 75.

It's almost like the committee is saying, "our teams don't have to schedule you, and if they do and happen to lose, your stupid win means nothing to us."

Oh, right... just like the last system, and the system before that.
