I'm on the earliest Saturday train arriving in STL at 12:20. Taking the last train out on Sunday, hopefully ecstatic.
One thing I would be interested to do is have a large-ish group Saturday night dinner somewhere in the downtown/midtown area. The last game of the day starts at 5 and should be over at 7:30 or so. A gathering for dinner at about 8:30 would give time enough to change at the hotel and meet up.
One place I've been wanting to go (the lines/wait times have always been too long when I've tried) is
Vito's Sicilian Pizzeria & Ristorante at 3515 Lindell Blvd., across from the SLU campus.
Another option would be the
Schlafly Tap Room at 2100 Locust St.
Many people like to go to The Hill neighborhood, but the logistics of getting there and back are difficult. The Soulard neighborhood is very unique to St. Louis (kind of feels like Cincy or Pittsburgh with a vaguely gothic vibe), and they have some higher end foodie type restaurants.
Open to suggestions if anyone is interested.
