As of right now, I have us beating Miami and upsetting Tennessee in Dallas. We do have experience in beating SEC teams, you know. If we want to dive in the deep end of the Kool Aid pool, could we topple presumably Cincinnati for a second time in the NCAA Tournament? If that were to happen, we would presumably face Virginia or Arizona in the Elite Eight.

The game after we be Florida, Florida beat Cincinnati. Do with that info what you wish.

I like the optimism. I definitely think we can and will beat Miami. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if all the 11 seeds win out. I think Tennessee would be real tough to beat, but certainly possible.

OK !! All season long we have been worrying --worrying about this otr that !! BUT we came through despite a lot of gargbage culminating by our being what I feel is being cheated by the COMMITTEE--We should be at worst a NINE---
Our guys are better team than that which BEAT FLORIDA !! Much better. I feel we shall defeat MIAMI and then advance even farther !!

The team we put on the floor at Florida vs the team we have now isn’t mentioned much, but Brot is right that we’re a much better team now. Consider that during the Florida game:

- Richardson was hurt 3 weeks earlier, and wasn’t playing (he also wasn’t playing at Boise State...heck we’ve only lost one (one!) game all year when we’ve had all of our starters healthy)
- Custer was hurt in the first half, and only played 14 minutes
- A big chunk of the game we had on the floor 2 true freshmen (Krutwig 36 minutes, Williamson 16 minutes), and two first year transfers (Townes 21 minutes, Avery 22 minutes)

So we were a largely inexperienced roster, only a month into the season, without two starters (our best defensive player and our point guard). And we still won. On the road. Against a ranked high major school. A high major school that would go on and in their next game beat a Cincinnati team who is now a 2 seed in the Tournament. I’m more amazed by that win every time I look back at the box score.

First of all congrats on the bid. It's exciting isn't it?

As far as 9 vs 11? I'd take the 11 honestly. You have a much easier path to the sweet 16. As a 9 you will get a 8 and a 1 guaranteed. As an 11 you get a 6 and a 3 or 14. There is a big difference between the quality of a 3 and a 1 most years. You guys have a fighting chance at getting to the second weekend IMO.
