Well this is the moment we have been waiting for.
But what about those from the past.

Here is the status of some past coaches and AD's

1. John Planek is at Lewis University and doing well;
2. Grace Calhoun is at Penn and Penn just beat Harvard to gain access to the dance.
Penn went from a 13 win season to 24-8 and for this wins the honor of playing a first seed.
Incidentally the women's team was facing Princeton for the right to gain entry to the dance as well and
the football team won its last 6 games to win the Ivy title.
She has been awarded a contract extension to 2022.
3. Jim Whitesell is an Associate Coach at Buffalo and they won the MAC and are in the dance as a 13th seed.
Jim was not allowed to recruit the marginal students but has been quite successful at Buffalo doing so.
He had a nice stint in St. Louis and then worked at St. John's until Lavin was fired. The Buffalo coach is being eyed by other schools and may move on. If so, I hope Jim can get another chance.
4. Kevin Mondro is still at Eastern Michigan in his 9th season. Eastern is doing fine and Kevin is credited with developing the "big" men.
5. Ken Burmeister was recently let go from Incarnate Word after a bad season but did have considerable success there.
His son played for him this year and appeared to be a decent player. He certainly did not get his height from his dad.
6. Shay Boyle is Vice President of Development at Notre Dame High School. I believe he is an assistant to Kevin Clancy, former Loyola player. Saw Shay at the NCAA viewing party. A real class gentleman.
7. Larry Farmer is in his second stint at Western Michigan. He had a stint at Hawaii and then went to Western but did spend a year as
Director of Basketball Operations at NC State before returning to Western
8. Pat Baldwin just finished his first year at Milwaukee and his Panthers defeated the Ramblers this year. Pat was at Northwestern and Missouri State as well.

Any others that anyone knows about?
How about Porter's assistants who have moved on?

Nice to see some success for those who left Loyola.

Jason Gardner in his fourth season as head coach and first in the Horizon League for IUPUI. They finished tied for 5th in the HL.

JR Blount is an assistant at Drake, having survived the transition from Giacoletti to Medved. Drake just won a CIT game today over Abilene Christian.

Howard Moore is an assistant at Wisconsin.

Scott Spinelli is an assistant at Boston College.

David Gale, the walk-on from LA, is an assistant coach for the G-League Delaware 87ers.
