Now Gregg Marshall is in the TBS TV studio as an analyst.

Frickin' crazy. He's diagramming the plays of a team in the Elite Eight that he disdained and fans of his team didn't want in the league.

YUP ROBBIE WE ARE at 16 But K-ST belongs to a "POWER" Conference !! That means everything to the "COMMITTEE" But fortunately they do NOT set the odds !! SO I wager we will be a 2 to 3 point fave !!

Criminy I am proud of this team !! Its agreat time to be a RAMBLER !!

watched the game at Hamiltons ...or whatever they call it now.......got there an hour and half before the game and could not get a seat...packed, shoulder to shoulder...could not talk to people next to you during the game....and the students were just going nuts.......for me this has been a total unexpected joy....watching the students totally enjoy this experience. Cars were honking up and down Sheridan Rd...including the CTA busses!!!! people exchanging high fives and chanting LU.......really cool to be on campus for this.....San Antonio will be better though!

Does anyone know why Krutwig didn’t play in the last ten minutes of the game?

It seemed that part of the Nevada plan was to allow 24 get Krutwig out on the floor....and take him to the hoop ...and that was not in his skill set....They started it very early in the game.....I think he only got 12 minutes......Nevada was able to create a bad match up......Jackson was going to have to cover that guy.....I think the other factor was the Martin twins got a couple early blocks on Krutwig. I give the staff credit for spotting it early...

You know I was thinking of the composure in the last couple minutes....Richardsons pass to Jackson,,,,,,Jackson (out of nowhere) hits the 3......and of course Townes hitting the 3. Big plays in crunch time....impressive.

Ledo !! Pls do not feel that I am putting you down--I am not !!The answer you seek is our TEAM and the and the excellent coaching this allowed !! As always we have SO many guns--and a Coach and staff which knows how and WHEN to use them. KING KRUT IS but a Freshman and has exceeded expectations ! Jackson was the one late in game this time

Check out this article in The Athletic about it (good read): https://theathletic.com/285029/2018/03/ ... continues/

ATLANTA — Above every locker stall and on whatever wall space was available, 19 massive sheets of paper hung in a cramped, sweltry Loyola basketball locker room late on Thursday. These were Nevada’s plays. Coaches drew them on smaller pieces of paper for managers and GAs to translate to the posters. Dribble Panther. Funnel Strong. Snowplow Away. Wide Fist Pound. Before a South Region semifinal, the Ramblers, of course, established the plan to stop them. The sheets were the reminders, the almost subliminal messaging, about how to execute that plan. And the program was on the cusp of its first Elite Eight in 55 years for a fairly simple reason: Usually, the plan worked.

But plans can change. Plans can change before the third game-winning shot of this out-of-all-reason March, before players dance and wave their hands in front of delirious fans as the student band plays “All I Do Is Win,” before everyone stops to lean in for a hug with the 98-year-old nun who picked them to lose on this very night. Some very important things can change and it can still be Loyola 69, Nevada 68 in the end here at Phillips Arena, because a little while before that, a group of coaches huddled in a dimly lit hallway around the corner from the locker room with all the posters and decided it might be a good idea to tear parts of the plan to shreds.

“You find ways to win games,” Porter Moser said, with his team now positioned 40 minutes from a Final Four run that defies all known concepts of reality. “And then you find ways to believe.”
