Three consecutive threes by Campbell to start the second half, after it was apparent that their three point shooting was a problem at the break. Was anything discussed about three point defense at halftime?

Campbell is shooting 10-for-16 on threes (63%), higher than their season free throw percentage as a team (59%).

Milton Doyle is the most talented player to wear a Loyola uniform in a LONG time. That dunk he had....wow.

One of my frustrations at halftime was the perception that Milton Doyle could just about score at will against these guys, yet we were trying to force interior passes against the zone. Thanks to a great second half by Matt O'Leary (and Christian Thomas), the inside was opened up for Doyle. O'Leary had five assists, and Doyle had 21 second half points. It would be nice if we could bottle the last 16 minutes of the second half for the rest of the year. Nice to have a double digit win against a D-I team for the first time this year.

Well, I just got in from dinner with some Pals--

Good news, I see--Great--I had us by ten but 63 closer at 13. From what I read so far, it appears our bigs took care of business down low for Milton.

We appear to be righting the ship. Good Coaching, perhaps--in that he apparently changed up and went with something else---It panned out , I would say.
You think ?
This tells me--if factual--that PM did what Whitesell never did do while at LUC.

Now then , maybe our bigs are catching on--little by little.

NIU next up---GO RAMBLERS !!!

I'm pretty pleased with this outcome.
1. They were taller than us (generally speaking) but we outrebounded them.
2. There were a couple of times that we could have lost complete control of the game but, credit to Porter, adjustments were made and we picked it back up.
3. Doyle is unreal. I can't wait to watch him get better.
4. We held their best 3 point shooter, Andrew Ryan, to 3 points.
5. I'm starting to see O'Leary make big strides. Hopefully he's taking the CT role this year.
6. I had issues with the Refs. They couldn't decide what kind of game they wanted to call. Letting hard fouls go while calling ticky tack fouls. That drives me batty. But that goaltending call (rather, no call) was ridiculous.
7. ahunte1 needs to get excited. He's got the golf clap down, though (kudos on that)

Agree with this.

Far too early to tell, but not to early to talk about--Wouldn't it be a riot if Milton turned into the next Larry B--Right here in the MVC !!! Only a Freshman but--he is a player--and appears to be garnering help from his Pals !!
32 Points !! Against most anybody is superb !! I do believe he plays a little defense as well !

Keep feeding this monster wolf 'errrrr Rambler!!

Also we only had 7 turnovers. Really took care of the basketball, which was nice to see.

Our last turnover was at 16:12 remaining in the second half, and led to a three pointer to give Campbell a 43-38 lead. From then on, we had ZERO turnovers and outscored them 42-25.
