Milton Doyle won both the MVC's Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week award today, thanks to his Loyola freshman record 32 points against Campbell. Tony Parker held the previous Loyola freshman mark of 31 points from the 1973-74 season. Doyle is now ranked 5th in scoring in the MVC with 16.5 ppg.

When you break a 39 1/2 year old record which was held by the father of a future NBA Hall of Famer, that's pretty cool.
