Yikes. This isn’t working out the way I had hoped

Hard to say because we do not know everyone they are looking at. At this time it appears we are looking more at bench a strength more than anything. So kids are looking at do I go to a program to win and sit or go somewhere to play.

We are also behind due to other things happening in late March to early April.

I think we are looking to get another Jackson type off the bench from a JC or grad transfer. We more than likely looking for a D1 transfer who will sit next year. I am guessing a high school wing as the final.

I hope we did not spend too much time chasing rainbows and missed out on kids we can get. We are not at the elite level yet.

Moser talked about not being able to get anyone he wanted because our facilities do not compare to these other schools.

Bummer that Welage is going to Xavier. That would have been a huge get

I am only slightly worried about this. I think the coaches know who they want and who they have a good shot at landing. We're not chasing the top guys in a class yet. Plus, so much of recruiting is relationships, so I wouldn't expect a bump in recruiting until maybe next year, but more likely 2020.

I also want to point out that there's still a lot of time left in recruiting, and the Spring season is hard to follow for us. I went back to the Class of 2017 thread, and the first mention of Lucas Williamson being an actual target was April 10. (People recommended we check him out before that, but it wasn't clear that he was a target until then.) We knew of Marques Townes as a target even later the year before that. With all the transfers that come out and coaching changes that happen, a lot of things can happen over this recruiting period that we don't know about until last minute.
