Looks about right to me. Custer making third team is a bit of a surprise given his struggles, but I'll take it.

I'm sure Lucas Williamson would have made the All Defensive Team if he hadn't missed so many games with injury.

Assuming he stays healthy I'll be shocked if he doesn't win defensive player of the year before graduating. He's averaging 3.25 steals in his last 4 games!

I know for a fact that the players are listed in order based on the number of votes they received. It is an amazing coincidence that this just happens to be alphabetical too.

I think Custer's selection to the 3rd team was more honorary than anything. Would be a tough look to have last years POY left completely off. But congrats to all! Looking forward to seeing if Townes or Krut bring home the POY.

A few weeks ago I would’ve said Krutwig was POY, but with the way Townes played the second half of the conference season, it should be him. My concern is that they will split the “Loyola” vote and Mcglynn will steal it.

Really happy Kaifes got a spot. He's a big part of this team moving forward, especially as he gets more confident being aggressive on offense. Beyond shooting he seems to make one or two really savvy passes a game, and he's already mastered the head fake with his 3 point shot.

I was curious to see if The Phoenix would refer to Kaifes as being on the "All-Freshman" team or the "All-First Year Player" team.

Nick Shultz committed an egregious Title IX violation and flouted all progressive journalistic standards by his sexist use of "All FreshmanTeam" in the linked article.
At the very least he should have added a (sic) after the offensive phrase to show his disdain for such an antiquated and uninclusive term.

Where to I report this?

I wouldn’t be too concerned about a vote split. I think it’s Townes or McGlynn. While I’m obviously biased, Townes’ conference numbers should make him POY. The other thing I take into consideration is Townes numbers were achieved while having to play and share ball time with Krut, a POY candidate in his own right, and Custer, the reigning POY. If Krut or Clay went down, Townes would probably have a string of 30 point games under his belt in conference.

Regardless of the outcome, he has still had an outstanding year.
