Okay ,,,,I am a little ahead of myself....but starting to think with all the games on TV this year and assuming next will be the same,,,,if it is worth it to start and get a bar/restraint to host LU game, watch parties out in the frontier of the NW suburbs......time to claim our territory....If coordinated with the Alumni Department might get some new people on board....BullDogs does a nice job near campus ...they may willing to do the same out in McHenry.....although that might be too far out.......any one have suggestions of spots.....that might be good.....maybe the Barring ton area???

Wasn't McHenry the capital of the Oregon Territory in the early 19th century? I mean we're talking way Northwest, at least for a guy like me who lives by Midway Airport.

On edit: Just figured out from rereading nate's post that Bulldog's is a chain of bars. Didn't know that. Looking it up, they have around 10 locations in the Chicago area. It would be cool to have Bulldog's adopt Loyola as their unofficial team.

Little known fact for all of you in Lake County.....you were McHenry County first.......with the town of McHenry as the County Seat....until you all became too much trouble...... Well I am going ahead and going to try and organize this ...maybe watching the game in a public venue will stop me from throwing things at the TV or throwing my back out jumping out of the Laxy Boy

Madison, Edwards, Crawford, and Clark Counties all kept dumping both of you off to someone else for the same reason.

Along the same lines, didn't the former Republican Governor of Wisconsin propose building a wall on the McHenry County/Wisconsin border to stem the flow of Flatlanders?

Actually Swella, Scott Walker realized the wall would be non productive. He realized those crossing the border into Wisconsin were those that wanted to escape the insanity of real estate, sales and income taxes in Illinois. Look at it this way, the same house in Lake Geneva, Elkhorn or Delavan sells for half of what it is in Illinois and the real estate tax on that property is a third or quarter of what it is in Illinois. In Elkhorn or Delavan you can get a boat slip for $500 for the season.
That plus at rush hour in Delevan or Elkhorn there are five cars max at the left turn lane and they all make the turn in one light.
Illinois is a sewer! It has the five "c"s: crime, corruption, congestion, cost and climate.

Streak, I agree with almost everything you say except the part about the $500 boat slip. Lake Lawn wants about $3,000 per season.
