Go, you might be satisfied to know that on the teleconference, Porter gave two reasons for the collapses:

1. Youth, inexperience
2. Part of it is on me, too. "Maybe I've been too hard on them."

That may sound odd, but it could be true. If you get to the point where you're so hard on them that playing is no longer fun, it's going to have a negative impact. You can get kids to play hard, play smart and still have fun. Hopefully Porter is figuring out how to balance it all out.

I have received some satisfaction from this.

Moser obviously learned his lesson from reading Ramblermania:

Well, whatever !! Something MUST have happened --Our team was pure dynamite--Full good on the team AND PM and his Coaches. A home win against any team is fairly the norm--except Shockers in MVC circles--BUT a thirty two point rout against a 2-3 point away favorite is a rare bird indeed.
Our boys came together --really came together --

As mentioned , it was but one game--but wow what a game.

Of course it must now continue --and it will get much harder down the road. The Valley now sees us , I think ,as somewhat more than a baby left on its door step.

GO RAMBLERS --but remember the business saying--'What have you done for me lately ?? "

The last time I spoke to Armon Gates he said that the Ramblers were playing too tight and had to loosen up and have some fun in the second halves of games. This was after the NIU game which he attended.
