I agree with you here big time. I wish he would get more minutes. I think he could develop into a good player for us but not without minutes. I don’t want him transferring either before he even gets a chance.

I think Frank and Tate playing so well was the main factor in Welch not playing. Any time Frank can stay in and get more confidence is better for us in the long run in my opinion. Welch strikes me as a very capable player who has done what he has been asked to do every time he has played.
I guess I see Welch developing at the same rate this year whether or not he gets a ton of minutes. Big Frank seems to me like he needs the game reps to get better.

If you’re not gonna play him, can we give him a soccer scholarship and just let him come off the bench as a walk-on mid season for basketball?

Porter always seems to have a plan and we are a scholarship short for next season?!?!?

That was fun! The ISU board isn't happy. The two guys they ripped went bananas in Krut and Tate.

Definitely not a lot of Sycamore Pride over there.

I was looking at their message board and it is kind of funny to read. I personally like the ref complaining .... if I wasn’t so lazy I would create a login to ask him if it was the refs fault that we shot 67 percent from the field.

I was pleasantly surprised that we dominated this game wire-to-wire. I could have done with a few less turnovers - 17 feels like a lot now, but maybe a few of those game in the end. I saw Clemons get chewed out for 2 of them.

This game against UNI is going to be a big one and I hope it lives up to what the hype will be.

I really hope we see a big jump from Frank from this year to next year. His size alone is impressive and when he starts getting going he looks like a strong center. I feel like the more minutes he gets, the more comfortable he gets.

SIU up on UNI by 16 points midway through the second half in Carbondale.

That would be interesting....

I think this is the 4th UNI game I have watched this year and they are not good at the defense.

Life in the Valley...it ain't easy. UNI now has road losses to one definite PIG team and one very possible PIG team. And we have sole possession of 1st place. Our road win over Valpo to open conference play will age well.

I like our defense on Sunday to shut down UNI. We play a very similar style defense to SIU except with more talent (though theirs is coming, fast). The thought of taking a two game lead....
