Yeah, these next three games are going to be daunting. I think if we play our A game against ISUb, we've got an outside shot. Coming off their high-profile loss at Wichita State, I think the Sycamores are going to be either be chastened (unlikely) or really pissed off and looking for someone to beat on. UNI is somewhat unsteady on the road, having lost at Ohio, George Mason, UWM, and Southern Illinois. Their only road win, however, was a 27-point beatdown of the team that beat us by 5 on Saturday.
And as for playing at Wichita State, I'm just hoping no one gets injured, either physically or psychically. If their five starters were unavailable, we'd still be big underdogs. Just for the record, their biggest home win margin against a DI team this year was 22 points against Bradley-- but that's mostly because Gregg Marshall ususally calls off the hounds in the last 10 minutes, as he did against ISUb. I only hope they don't try to send a message about their dissatisfaction with us as the new member of the conference by engaging in a public stoning.
The best case scenario would like MSU last year. Punch them in the mouth and just withstand the barrage...come close to pulling it out. I'm expecting a 15-20 point loss at WSU. Anything closer would be gravy.
