Well , where are WE going now ?? Do we give up and start mailing in as we have done in the past or do we cinch it up and bash forward ?? I say, we get it together once again . Tonight's game was winnable--Our guys know it. I venture to say the League is catching on to it as well-- A hoop here a made freebie there--BOARDS at all times. Well we failed this evening on freebies and boards and youth errors ( wrong shots).

Porter will clean this up in time for Saturday--This will be the upset I have stated will come. Why ? Despite all the mishaps, we darn near beat Sycamores--They know it, the League will see it.

I see definite improvement--all down the line.

Even Porter is making like he is flexible--If we see Milton at point and Keke at shooting guard we will know.-- Alternate Turk, Crisman and O'Leary at three with Devon gettin the most time. ( Although he did not have a great second half this evening--he got tentative.) He is too valuable to sit.

Osborne now that he has arrived somewhat will share with Thomas at 4 and 5 with Cody off the bench.

I say we beat N Iowa by five !!!

GO RAMBLERS !!

Thanks again for providing the link to the free video stream. Our Sycamores were lucky to escape Chicago with a win last night. If not for our bench having scored 25 of our 28 points at the half it could have been another "Missouri State Massacre" for your Ramblers. I agree wholeheartedly with your poster that says Loyola will win at least one of these games they are not supposed to this season. Glad it was not our Sycamores this time.

SycFan - Glad you could watch.

Brot - If we can repeat the game we played last night I think we can beat Northern Iowa. It wasn't our best game, but we didn't play that badly. Just got beat by a better team. We gave ourselves a chance to win and didn't come through. I've been pretty miserable after some of our losses this year, but last night wasn't one.

Ahunte--Correct !! We did play well enough to defeat a better team--This is one that "goes with the territory"--To paraphrase the train ride in MUSIC MAN--" WE don't know the territory--yet . We soon will and then the folks from the real 'Territories" had best look out as they do not know what will hit them. This team is just about ready. Only the "Bigs" area and a better bench guard-wise is suspect--at the moment.

When Porter spoke about changing up--Milton at point--he went way up in my opinion. Let us see if he actually does it.

Truly, he MUST feel as we do--We are getting close --and he knows it. We are frustrated--he is as well, and must look to his pay-check.

BTW,some of the outliers are restless and appear to be blaming us for their short-comings--Typical of today's mores--Blame the other guy. I also have read that Creighton was not well -liked while they were in the Valley--Now that they are not, we are the fall guys and they are great ?? Give me a break !!
Now then, let's face it , the SHOCKERS are one superb team--and by comparison , the rest of us --ALL of us are "drek" as my Jewish golfer Pals would say !!!
The thing that mystifies me is that those guys from other schools who have frequented our Board look to me to be CLASS guys !!

Anyway, we are definiely on the same page.

I was pretty happy with the performance of our team last night. Keeping the turnovers at 10 or below is key for us. We played very good defense on Odum, who had only 3 points well into the second half, and we didn't get burned by Arop again. I liked our substitutions, and until desperation time I didn't have many complaints about shot selection.

On the negative side, it always sticks in my craw a bit when we lose by a margin less than our missed free throws, and by my count we missed six in the second half alone. I would have been happier with a few more rebounds and better boxing out-- I think we can find a way to win when getting outrebounded, but not by double digits. What has happened to O'Leary? He played only six minutes. You'd think he'd be in there and play well against his hometown team, but I guess we were looking for more beefiness inside. And the attendance, even though it was hard to get around and -7 wind chill outside, was simply horrifying.

As I wrote before, UNI is probably our best chance for an upset in this streak of games. They're not a real good road team (1-7 on the year) and they lost last night at Bradley.

Good game last night. OK here's the deal. I have you guys picked to win saturday in our little SN pick 'em contest. I am now tied for 2nd place and one of the few to pick Loyola to win on saturday. Don't let me down. But really I like the way you have hung in there this year and feel you have done kind of what I thought you would do except for the beatdown of the bares. Anyway good luck on saturday. Still looking to make the trip up for the WSU game depending on how my wife is doing.
