I don't think that was Drew Valentine. It was his brother Brew Valentine.

Now that he committed elsewhere I can state my opinion that he seemed a step slow and earthbound. I think we can do better.

Valentine just followed Gedi Juozapaitis on Twitter, a 6'5" sophomore wing from Division II Flagler who put up some pretty impressive numbers, particularly in the 3 point shooting categories.

I would love to sign Gedi, if for no other reason than his family might attend games at Gentile. His sister Juste is a beauty contest entrant and model who won the photo portion of the 2007 Miss Lithuania Pageant.
She has some pretty impressive numbers too.

Maybe she could model for Caputo Cheese if Gedi signs.

Otis Frazier III could be Donte Ingram II.

Here's an interesting tidbit: Frazier's father grew up in Gary Indiana, played basketball for Butler in 1997-98 and made the MCC League all newcomer team that year before transferring to D2 Chadron State where he was recently inducted into their athletic hall of fame, despite playing only one year there.

I like what I saw, and I like the comparison. Donte was also not heavily recruited, albeit Otis looks a little bouncier and Donte was a little more built. I like the fit and his size. Give him a year to develop under Aher and Tate.

His best offers are George Mason and James Madison. I think if he doesn’t mind developing for a year we can beat them

Frazier looks like he could be a great get for us, despite the Butler connection. Hopefully, he's OK with basically red-shirting this season because he looks like a guy who can develop to be a really productive player for Loyola in the future. A 2021-22 depth chart of Norris, Kennedy, Hebb, Kaifes, Agunanne with Frazier, Wojcik, Welch, and Hutson would still be at the least very competitive in the Valley, even if there's a drop off of production with next year's senior class graduation.

Also, kinda bummed to see us probably out on Jeremiah Williams unless he goes the prep school route. That would certainly make more sense for us from a scholarship perspective, but probably not for him basketball wise. Not sure if we ever officially offered him a scholarship. I have a feeling UIC comes on hard for him.
