It looks like UIC is releasing their nonconference schedule today. If we are not on it, I’m gonna be pretty worried about us putting something together here

Northwestern still working on theirs....have two games so far...with covid #s rising I am guessing we are more likely to get teams close to home

Per Jon Rothstein, the Cincy Duquesne tournament will be a two game each one unless a last minute 4th team can be added:

No UIC game. What a small non con schedule for UIC.

A little disappointing and confusing. Maybe travel dates and protocols didn’t line up, but I was hopeful to play them.

It does say that an additional game might be added

So I guess 4 games total is the best we can hope for in non conference as a Chicago team? It looks to me like we might just get the Indy two games and hopefully a December 2 or 3 game “bubble?”

Interesting comments from Rick Petino about pushing the season back. I wonder if the season should have started in October like earlier mentioned. Also wonder if the Valley would consider playing conference games like the Horizon League and other conferences are. I did listen to Elgin say teams may end up playing their closest opponent three times. That would be Valpo for us but across state lines. I think I read somewhere that coaches would be happy to get 14-16 games in total.

Email just sent out by the athletic department.

Loyola pauses Men's basketball team activities after positive COVID test. Start of the season to be delayed.
