It does kind of explain AJ's defense though. You really can't move laterally with that injury.

Edit: I found the MVCFans post from BCPanther. He isn't quite as definitive about Green being out for the year but does say it's likely he'll have season-ending surgery for an injured hip labrum.

Valpo is kicking some Boilermaker ass in West Lafayette. It's 34-23 at halftime. Long way to go, and a lot of Crusaders are in foul trouble, but an upset would be a huge lift for the conference. Donovan Clay looks like he's taken JFL's leadership role.

JFC, somebody in this conference has to beat a D-1 team.

The conference is 7-12 against D-1 teams, and two of the wins (and two of the losses!) came against teams 300 or worse in KenPom.

We're going to have to go undefeated to get a 12 seed.

UNI is looking really strong against #19 Richmond right now. Wouldn't have suspected that they would be playing better with Berhow than Green.

Good win by SIU over Murray State, 70-66. Racers were favored by 6.5 and came into the game at 97 on KenPom.

I think it’s really sad that we don’t have Murray State in our conference .... I love Loyola, and basketball, but I’ll admit I don’t understand the politics/bureaucracy behind why the MVC hasn’t made them a member (or why Valpo got the nod over them). Can anyone explain it to me?

SIU looked good last night. They did a good job making their free throws down the stretch. Thought they got away with a foul on a late Murray State three, too.

Valley has a chance today with
Evansville vs St. Louis
Valpo Vs Central Michigan
Indiana St vs Purdue
Illinois St vs Ball St.

Also there is an hour Loyola Basketball preview on at 5pm on NBC Sports Chicago
