For the fourth time this season, Loyola's Milton Doyle has won the MVC Newcomer of the Week recognition, according to a blog post by the Sun-Times' Toni Ginnetti. She also reports that Loyola is not yet in Wichita for their game tomorrow night because of a cancelled flight. They're flying tonight from Chicago to Kansas City, then bussing it to Wichita. That should be fun....

Any idea when they're expected in KC? Hopefully it's not too late as it'll be about a 3 1/2 hour bus ride from KCI to the 316. Hopefully they get in fine and can get their rest before tomorrow. This wouldn't be the best time to get in late and throw off their schedule tomorrow.

Weather in KC and ICT is simply cold and windy. So they shouldn't have any issues once they land. Temps are to remain under 20 degrees with windchills around 0. No moisture of any kind expected.

He deserves the accolades! Barring any serious injuries, he will have an amazing career at Loyola.
I just hope that we can keep him here!

If the bus breaks down on the way to Wichita, just call this guy. He'll get em there

I hope it doesn't snow when they're on the bus, because if it snows that stretch down south won't ever stand the strain.

The Flint Hills of Kansas between Topeka and Wichita are just gorgeous this time of year-----NOT !!! Of course the Rest Areas are just ducky !! SHEESH !!

Oh well ! They are young !!

A choice between the Flint Hills of Kansas and the Hill Country of Texas--Wow Wall to wall nothing in either case. That is unless in the case of Kansas , you like grass--Wheat and cattle-- or in Texas' case --rocks and plenty of them.

BUT if I actually had to chose U would take the Flint Hills !!! Cattle plus wheat and some OIL--equals $$$$$$$ --Just ask SUB, he will vouch for my statement.

I actually enjoy the drive through the Flint Hills when I travel to KC. Something about the rolling hills that go on forever with little to obstruct the view. Radio reception sucks though.
