Adarius Avery...... that is another guy , like Satterwhite and Pipkins..... all super-athletic , who have not worked out at LU. But I also agree we have not seen one second of Anderson, everything is projection and hope.....So I am hoping that Anderson is a good addition.
I also am holding out hope..dont get me wrong I have been a Loyola fan since I was a student in the 80s. I just cant think of a super athlete that has excelled under Porter. He has a certain type, and the super-athletic non-shooter is not it. Avery, Satterwhite, Pipkins, Tanner Williams, Nick Osborne, there are others. I pray that I'm wrong with this one.
Some (many?) of those kids also struggled at times on defense, among other things, which is priority #1 for Porter.
I also think it’s unfair to assume Anderson will be a “non-shooter” based on limited playing time at Indiana. He put up a lot of 3s in high school, and made them at around a 37% clip. That’s not bad, especially for someone with his size. Ingram wasn’t as reliable from outside his first two years as he was his last two, and Jackson was good enough to be a threat, but didn’t put up a ton of 3s. I would classify both of those two on the same athletic level as the ones you mentioned, only closer in height to Anderson. We’ll have to see.
