Nice game last evening. As Porter was quoted "When we were down we could have gone down one of two roads and we chose to compete". One of our writers covering the game said that this was a great game not only for you but for the coaching staff and team at WSU. It showed the Shocks that no matter what their ranking they can be better. Many attribute it to poor play by WSU but Loyola had a lot to do with that with the defense that picked up at the half. By the same token it was the WSU defense that caused many of your short comings as well. I believe it will be an interesting game in Chicago later on and one that I can make it to. Good luck the rest of the way until we play again. I was glad to see that quite a few people chose to comment on the game on this site. Shows that you have some fans that care about the Ramblers. Hope the students start to come out and support your team as well.

Five man lineups can make a huge difference.

But your starters played a lot of minutes:

Fred VV - 35
Early - 31
Cotton - 29
Baker - 26 and missed time with the injury

We had early foul trouble. Neither team shot well. Both played good defense. WSU was better on both counts. Especially in the first half when things almost got out of hand.

But don't make it sound like we played your B team.

And I never said that. I said that the initial run was made against mainly our bench. After that, we never fully rebounded as I believe some of the guys checked out early. I also stated numerous times that your defense deserved much of the credit as they played with more intensity. But feel free to keep ignoring all of that and play the victim/no respect card all you want.

Eh, I'm not big on the no respect card. WSU fans (at least the ones here) have been complimentary overall anyway.

I'm looking forward to the rematch in Chicago. I think WSU will play a better game, and we are going to have to play much better to make it interesting.

I look forward to the game in Chicago. You guys will continue to get better I think over the next couple of weeks and I expect us to play better as well. Either way, the future is bright for both programs.
