But not a one and done.

I would've loved to get a year of Milt and Krutwig together. I don't think this programs needs guys looking for a stop on the way to the NBA but a guy like Doyle added to this mix right now would be explosive.

And...if his touch and his confidence have come back in the last year that may be exactly what we have in Anderson.

Porter has single handedly changed my perspective on college basketball.

When we sucked so bad... I envied programs like Duke and Kentucky and their 5 star, 1 and done, top recruits. Now that I’ve tasted success with 4 year athletes working selflessly for the team... I don’t know that i would want to win any other way.... Winning is great, but the WAY we’ve won makes it so much better...

Kofi was amazing... but he was there for less than a year... and now he’ll be gone. I don’t know that I’d have the same pride and excitement if we had a bunch of one-and-dones every year.

Loyola, today, is exactly where I dreamed we would be for the past 20 years.

I love our coach - his passion, his charisma and his ability. I love even more that he had a chance to leave and CHOSE to stay. I admire his fortitude. I admire his story... don’t forget... Porter Moser was a failure and a loser. He busted his butt in coaching since he was 22... it took him until 48 until he garnered any amount of respect from his at-large peers. Look at him now.... he’s not Brad stevens who inherited it (not to take away from Stevens). He fought his way from the bottom to the top. Look at him now.

I love our media people. They don’t get the credit they deserve for cranking out all those videos on Twitter. It’s amazing. They do an unbelievable job.

I love our arena. It’s small, but it rocks when it’s filled. It’s “right sized.”

I love our alumni former players... following the team and showing pride in what they built. Donte Ingram have me chills with his video VO.

I love the way our program is run. Everyone graduates, they kill it in the classroom. 10 years - no scandals .. no arrests.... no NCAA infractions.

I love our success. 4 straight 20+ win seasons, multiple conference crowns, 2 NCAA appearances, a final four, and now a sweet 16. We would have had 2 NIT appearances as well. Better than Tennessee, Kentucky, Duke, UCLA, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Illinois, Indiana.... think about that. In the past four years... almost a half-decade... we have been better than all of THOSE programs.

I love our history. Game of change, Cinderella, sister Jean, currently the highest winning percentage in the NCAA tournament...

I love our underdog persona. We’re not Duke or Kentucky... and when we win a tournament game, people take notice.

I love our Conference. It’s competitive. Almost all the teams care, the coaching is phenomenal, and we win tournament games. They’ve embraced us and supported us, and after coming from the horizon, I hope we don’t take that for granted.

I love our fans. I ventured over to shockernet... if that’s what “success” does to mid major fans... I won’t be around in 5 years if Loyola turns into THAT. I pray to god it doesn’t.

Most of all, I love our players.... Williamson and Krutwig as seniors are amazing representatives. Doyle was the same.

It’s the golden era. My expectations have been far exceeded. I don’t want this to end....

Great post Toledo!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Would you mind if I borrow it (with due attribution) and post it on Shockernet. They started a thread recently about who has had more success since 2017, them or us.

Go for it man. I’m sure they’ll take it really well. They are super reasonable. Are you over there talking sense into them?
