Hard to accept "tired legs" and "gassed" as an excuse when the team we played against got 2+ hrs less recovery time from their last game (which happened to be 2OT), and they play a high energy defense that's only 8 deep to our 9 or 10.

I think we need more of a chip on our shoulders than we showed up with. Maybe facing the prospect of going 0-for-Atlantis will help sharpen the focus tomorrow.

This was a tough matchup — as for the coaching, I think you gotta cut Drew some slack. I wrote earlier that there would be growing pains from the bench. This is all part of it — it will take a lot of time for him to come into his own on the sideline, I’m not sure how anyone could have expected anything different.

He might get there, he might not. But, overall I think he’s doing as well as can be expected givin his lack of experience and playing two major programs.

Auburn is killing Syracuse.
