Well said above by all.

Kudos to drake they played well, frustrated us the 2nd half, hit their free throws, and it’s a tough place to win. There’s a reason drake is 11-1 at home. We played terrible second half, it’s crazy we haven’t played a complete game both halves since San Francisco. Free throws were a big player but we did no favors and can’t really complain with how much we turned the ball second half. Incredibly sloppy and very inexcusable for a veteran team. Feels like a self inflicted loss. We played well first half, think the schedule played a part in the second half as we ran out of gas.

As stated in other posts, think we lose at UNI and Bradley, possibly Missouri State. Likelihood of an at large is gone. Sucks but that’s where we are at. Hopefully we can bounce back with some rest, frustrating loss as it felt like this was a game we could have won. The roller coaster continues with lack of consistency.

Awful performance tpday.

Our offense is inept.
Too sloppy with the ball. When our guys drive and meet a defender, they look panicked and force the pass.
Poor free throw shooting.
Lack of an interior presence continues to hinder our rebounding.

These past few weeks have been very trying to say the least. I’m keeping the faith, but come Arch Madness, I’d be nervous to play Drake or OSU. The automatic bid seems to be more and more less of a certainty.

We need to regroup and find what drove us to do well at the beginning of the season.

-Move the ball to get open 3’s, and make them
-Get to the free throw line and make them
-Play defense without fouling

We do those three things, we can play with anyone.

We did none of those today, or the last week.

Free throw discrepancy is large. But, I would point out that refs give the balance to the team that is
In attack mode. Ramblers were not attacking until 4 minutes left.
Not sure how many Drake shot in last 3 minutes, but that also skews the final total as we fouled to stop the clock and they hit em.

We were a step slow after the first ten minutes. My fear is that the team has lost its Momo after the long forced hiatus.

Rotation wise, I strongly believe the staff has to sit Lucas and Norris more frequently and for longer stretches, cut their minutes to 30 a game and get em fresh and healthy for St Louis. It’s the only chance now...if they keep logging these minutes they’ll be toast in St Louis.

So for those my knowledgeable than me, what will it take to realistically keep an at-large bid? Is it going undefeated the rest of the way? I assumed we had a couple of losses built in against top-tier Valley teams (which has happened), but do we need to win out from here?

I think we MIGHT be able to afford one more Q2 loss (@MoSt or @UNI). And then losing on Sunday at Arch Madness.

We have no great wins, really no wins over tourney teams except MAYBE USF. The plan was to hang out hat on that San Fran win, but that is losing its luster a bit as USF has lost a few games and is now basically in a similar position as us on the bubble. Vandy sucks. Arizona State sucks. DePaul sucks.

Not a lot of positives to take from this one other than we got off to a decent start.

Brodie sets a lot of moving screens, but being 250 pounds let’s you get away with a lot.

Can’t have Lucas, Aher, and Schwieger all be cold. Aher needs to involve himself more. Smart playing by Drake to cut the head off the snake (focus their defense on Braden). I think that’s the best game plan against us right now without our wings scoring.

Worth pointing out on the FT differential…in out OT win at home v Bradley we outshot them at the line 29 to 14.

We discuss at large bids but these losses impact our NCAA seed too.
Also need to finish 1st to lock up an NIT bid. You want that in your pocket going to Arch.
