This is going WAY back, but as a student one of the games I remember best was when the Big Ten Minnesota Golden Gophers played at Alumni gym. They had Dave Winfield, Ron Behagen and Jim Brewer on the team, and what struck me at the time was that the entire team looked HUGE compared to the Ramblers. Huge and scary. Winfield was all muscle and scared the bejeezus out of me; so much so that I toned down my usual razzing so as not to draw undue attention to myself.

Shockers are up to #3 in the AP Poll with Arizona's loss at Arizona State on Friday. They're still #2 in the Coaches Poll.

Wednesday's game will be the highest ranked opponent at home since #2 Michigan State on December 9, 2000.

Izzo is the best. MSU has scheduled 2 home-and-homes with us in the last 15 years. Have we even played another B1G team in that time frame?

I thought it was a 2 for 1 in the early 2000's and us playing at their place last year. They've only played in our place once.

As for B1G teams. We had a 3 for 1 with Purdue and we played at Illinois. I think that's it for B1G

Yes, I'm probably mistaken on the home-and-home. Tho at least I'm still correct saying Izzo's the best.

Larry Farmer's first game was at Wisconsin and we lost 66-27, if I recall...that was bad.

We've played Purdue in a 2-1 in the last 15 or so years and actually won the home game.

Fun fact that I wasn't aware of until just a moment ago, our Director of Basketball Operations, Dominic Okon, finished his playing days at Loyola in the late 90s. The local fish wrap had a little piece on his travels. This week, Okon's basketball travels take him to a familiar place
