Schweiger basically carried us to our biggest win of the year vs USF so I try to keep that in mind when critiquing him. But he's just been brutal lately. An 0-6 performance today coupled with rough defense and a bad charge call.

Love what Welch has been showing though.

This has been a HORRIBLE performance tonight. The turnovers, missed free throws, the missed layups. This team mentally is MIA. I don’t want to hear “just another Valley game”. The mistakes we are making and the bone head plays are inexcusable. We may lose this yet the way we are playing.

It really seems like the refs are way worse this year. How did they try to call 5 seconds on that inbounds? Come on. And the out of bounds call that they reversed and gave us the ball was brutal too

Well. That was a game.

Come on! What is wrong with us? Now we can't even inbound the ball. Any other valley team beats us by 15 tonight.

Brutal performance.

Good:

1) We win and the dream is still alive.
2) Welch played really well. When he gets minutes, he produces. Good game Tom.
3) Uguak with a game high 17, please be this aggressive more, we need you slashing and flying to the basket.

Bad:

Just about everything else. Team again looked flat and unprepared; know we are deep into the season and the team is what it is but come in guys, season on the line you need to play with way more urgency and execute. That was another brutal offensive game, we just mentally struggle so badly when shots don’t fall immediately, so frustrating. We were lucky Illinois State isn’t very good because as stated above, this is a game we easily could have lost to just about any other valley team.

Rest up, especially Braden and Lucas. Please guys for the love of all that is Holy, get a 30 point lead on Evansville on Weds so staters can rest. We need a game where Saint, Tom, Ty, Clemons and Schweiger see that majority of minutes. Specifically, Schweiger, if ever there is a get right game it’s weds.

Just some ugly play the last few weeks, with the exception of the UNI game.

It was not a good performance. ISU is the worst defensive team in the MVC and we struggled to get to 59. 17 turnovers, 14-23 from the free throw line, with some being the front end of 1 and 1. 20-53 from the floor and 5-21 from the arc. The only reason why we won is that ISU had 20 turnovers, was 8-15 from the line with many being front end of 1-1, they shot 18-50 from the floor. If we played a decent team tonight we lose.

We are not getting any significant minutes from Schweiger, Hutty getting fewer minutes, Welch was in foul trouble and with no Kennedy, our starters are getting gassed. Kennedy being out is taking a big toll on Norris. If Kennedy does not get back these last two games, I do not think we will have the legs to finish this out. I have not heard what KENNEDY’s status is, anyone?

We won, but this win will do little to move the needle in our favor for an at large bid.
