Just wanted to say congrats first of all to my Ramblers for a spirited effort and then good luck the rest of the way to WSU. They are a little bit taller, a little bit stronger and a little more experienced than we are at this point. Met tons of people from WSU all nice down to the last one. I hope they enjoyed their LU experience and run the table up until the rematch with LU in the title game at Arch Madness. Man they can hit the boards.

Several people that attended the game said LU was a good host and the fans were friendly and engaging unlike the former member fans that left the conference.

I'm glad that I got to meet some WSU fans in person. Lord knows I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth after my encounters on the other message board (and maybe even on shockernet too). I'll attribute that to those folks being internet tough guys/know-it-alls.

Glad that LU could provide a nice atmosphere for the WSU folks. The game last night was great fun. Unlike our former conference mates from Indy, I intend to root for WSU. Your coach is a sight to see. Even my wife had a comment about how he just exudes confidence and looks like a REAL coach.

Good luck, Shockers. I'll be behind you...except when we play again.

We typically get good reviews when met in person. You know how the internet can be...

You mention 3G exuding confidence and I agree. The team has taken on his personality. Confident, tough and focused. A lot of opposing fans seem to dislike him and we don't really care. He doesn't engage in a lot of coach speak and will tell you what he thinks one way or another. He fits in great in a blue collar community like Wichita and we will love him forever.

Marshall reminded me of the evil Icelandic villain from the second Mighty Ducks movie:

Those are the best kind of people to have in your program. Just like Joakim Noah (or a few years back, A.J. Pierzynski with the White Sox). I'd love to have a coach like Marshall.

You just had to mention AJ. As a Royals fan......
