The case for the Shockers at least vs Syracuse--with all due respect to OHIO GIRL--Syracuse's first FOURTEEN games--thirteen were at home !!! Some of those gamest fair to good competition--the rest so - so at best. As always typical Eastern media bias. By contrast WSU played roadies as most schools do.

I do NOT know why 'Cuse gets away with this --every year. I look for an early exit for them==third round ??

GO SHOCKERS !!

Syracuse has been doing this for years. The only road non-con games that they play (with very few exceptions) are exempt tournaments. If you want to play Syracuse in the non-con, you have to go to them.

They get away with it because people want to play them. They're willing to be sacrificial lambs for a good payday

We went to Syracuse once under Turgeon. They paid for our travel and lodging as well as giving us a check for $100k and we walked out with a win. It was a good day. We pretty much led the entire game.

They do on occasion leave the Dome and will play in NYC. But a legit road game outside of the state is nearly unheard of for them. No doubt they're good and get away with it, but I do wish the committee would actually reward those that go on the road and maybe punish a bit those that refuse. Not sure how to best do that but getting those guys to leave their home arena some would be good for basketball and actually test them a little as opposed to just racking up home wins in the noncon.

I noticed on the postgame interview backdrop after their loss, they have a slogan they're promoting that's something like "New York's College Team." Wow.... that's pretty ballsy.

You had to figure they were going to lose one sooner or later with all the close calls they had. Nobody thought it would be at home to BC. That would be like the Shockers losing at home to us.
