I watched the game yesterday and I had to chuckle. OU was 6-12 in conference and was playing GA who was 8-10 in conference. The announcers kept saying how with a win OU would be in the NCAA. How does a 6-12 team beating a 8-10 team get you in the tournament? The big conference media spin is just out of control this time of the year. The same with the "bracketology experts". Doesn't matter which one you may like, they are not gurus or prophets. They are NCAA company men who know what is going to happen and are being told what to print or say. It's always about the $$$, ALWAYS!
I mean, if there was a rule that said you had to be at least .500 in conference play to qualify, I’d wholly and enthusiastically support that. However, there is no such rule, and given the committees history of what they look at (metrics, out of conference wins, quad 1 wins, etc), Oklahoma is all but guaranteed to be in.
