I have two guesses, both good news:

1. Marlon Jones, a 6'8" center from Chicago Orr Academy, commits to the Ramblers.

2. Grace Calhoun gets canned.

I based my first guess largely on the tweet smokeyjoe cited, plus other recruiting tidbits I picked up on the internet.

My second guess is mostly wishful thinking, but also takes into account how 08 phrased his little teaser, and the fact that 25yearstreak visited Ramblermania last night around 10:30. I figure Streak got wind of the same rumor as 08 did at around that time, but didn't post anything. Streak is more of an office politics than recruiting guy, so I figure the impending news might have something to do with the AD.

I put the chances of it being either one or the other at around 60%, but I am not fully discounting the Brot-as-coach speculation either...

Well don't get too excited, but guess away...something to think about on a Monday.

Smoke, not one of your bad news items. For me personally, tomorrow is going to be a great day to be a Rambler.

Yup !! I had a wonderful E/Mail interview with Fr G--I had to tell him that while I love all things Loyola, I must decline his gracious offer--He had a stipulation in the deal, that My teams MUST return to what we used to call OVEN BALL. Also when other institutions got wind of this LOYOLA move, Many offers came pouring in--I am deciding between coaching the team of Nuns belonging to the Poor Clare Monastery in North Canton Ohio or the First Grade Girls team at St Hilary School--Both offers were and are more suited to my talents--

Please pray that I make the correct decision !!!

I would hope that News has NOTHING to do negatively with Fr G.

Let's hope the News is that we have landed a BIG man --6'11 and 270 lbs

Or we have added Vandy , Tulsa, Minnesota or some such to next year's home schedule !!
