According to the Phoenix article, 40 new staff members were hired in the Athletic Department during Calhoun's brief tenure. No mention is made of the number of employees who were fired, left under pressure, or otherwise departed to make room for the new hires, but I'm sure it's roughly equivalent.

I find this number shocking and appalling. The "churning" (25yearstreak's word) under Calhoun is sure indicator of her consuming personal ambition and her disregard for the welfare of her employees. First, she purged holdovers from Planek's regime to make room for "her" people; now she's abandoned her people to the mercies of the next AD.

She is like an army general who is willing to sacrifice the lives of his soldiers in the pursuit of promotion and fame.

Shame on her!

There is a scene in the South Park movie that mirrors this. It's not PC in the least, so I won't post it. But if you've seen the movie, you know what I'm referring to.
