Evansville beat McKendree by 28.
Northwestern beat them by 50.
We won by 10.

Forget about it being an omen. Plain and simple, it's an indication that we aren't good.

Don't forget, though, that our starting PG is out. Jeff should really make a big difference this year, he's got a lot of experience. Stats aside his presence would make a big difference in how close that game is played.

Yes, his experience is important. Yes, he will help the team when he returns.

HOWEVER, he doesn't play a position where we are most vulnerable.

True - guess I was looking at the turnover line and we had a lot.

Our vulnerabilities will be on full display Friday, which isn't such a bad thing at this time of year.

Keep in mind James only played 24 minutes and Thomas 27. The freshman got 29 valuable minutes.

We played without White who was out number three in scoring and would have made a difference. Turk was our number four last year and scored only half of what he averaged last year.

James is an upgrade from what we had and will make a difference. Ingram will replace O'Leary's time at the 4 and is a big upgrade as well.

When we get to the MVC James and Thomas will play 32-34 mpg. Ingram can spell Thomas and will contribute The question will be can James get some backup for 8 mpg.
