Early Vegas line has UTSA favored by 1.5.

20 bucks say Loyola rides a hot shooting Devin Turk to a 74-71 victory.

OK--They have bigs --we do not. BUT we should be able to handle them----Two things we do have is speed- lots of it-and we can shoot. Tese will be THE factors--

Turk's shot appears-Milton and the boys light it up and win say 76-61 !!

OXEN-BALL will not get it--They are too tall for us to do this. Why go back to stuff that did not work for us consistently ?????

76-61

I really wanted to predict a win in this one, but we're toting a 20-game road losing streak down to San Antonio. Last year, we lost all five of our our non-conference road games to teams with a similar pedigree (RPIs between 211 and 255)-- despite having double-digit second half leads in three of them, and second half or overtime leads in all five. Until we can show the ability to win in hostile territory and a successful strategy to counteract rebounding weakness, it's hard to predict a win against any team on the road-- let alone a team with starters at 6'8" and 7'0" (mediocre as they may be).

Devin is the key. You might even say he's the Turk-key.

Playing in his home state two days before his favorite holiday, Turk-key has all the stars aligned in his direction for a big game. He goes off for 25 while shooting 6 for 11 on threes.

One more prediction: Cal Kennedy has another great game on the bench.

The problem still comes down to size. Since we lack frontcourt size, there will be a lot of stuffing as we approach the basket. I suppose we can hope that we can get on a roll with fastbreak opportunities to avoid too much stuffing. Unfortunately, these are just pie in the sky dreams until we get bigger in the frontcourt.

I just posted a story with a game-by-game breakdown of the 20-game road losing streak. Hope the story changes up the mojo.

Go--Granted we are way too short--BUT if we are quick and gutsy. we will draw some fouls--unless "Homer" refs. We had some size last season BUT we still lost, Problem was our size was not very good--Might be the same with San A. Only problem I had with our bigs last season was IF they had talent, it was not coached. I rather suspect we were just plainly not good down low---Although I must say one of our bigs which some on this board liked as a player was pretty darn good at bare footed ice running !!! Good riddance, Its Osborne that I cannot figure--too slow ? or just plainly unhappy with PM ?? I was sad that he left.

This might be a generational thing, but where you saw sexual innuendo, I saw a turkey dinner with all the fixin's.
