When we've got such a small margin for error, making the free throws are absolutely essential.

Amazing win, nonetheless. How in the world do you lose 20 road games in a row and then win against a much bigger CUSA team in Texas and three days later beat a team that has averaged 22 wins a year over the past decade and a half? I'm really impressed with the effort, and also the poise, of these guys. We buckled so many times last year under similar pressure...

Fun to watch, yes, but I wish it wasn't quite so "exciting" down the stretch after leading by 20.

Some shades of last two years, but also some poise down the stretch. To me, even though it worked out with Jeff getting a couple of free throws, it was just stupid of PM to run the shot clock down to 3 with well over a minute left. That just tells the players he has no confidence in them or his offense. It may be I'm a little less excited about the victory because I didn't see the first half, but it is a good road win and something to build on.

In our D1 games, our opponents are shooting 48.9% from the free throw line.

All that extra time spent at practice yelling, "BRICK" is really paying off.

That's a pretty amazing stat, even just three games in.

I am back home !! The young man next to me is Granddaughter Jessica's husband--The couple on the other side was a pair of KSU Students--All knew the game--Best player on the floor was Milton--so they all said.
My observations--
--MAC Center is a fine High school Gym
--Friendly Akron folks though
--THE GAME--
It seemed every rime we ran the pick and roll we scored--It seemed that way
--I said to Ben that if Devon gets off early we will be in great shape--He did-- we were.
--Best 1 half of Hoops I have seen Ramblers play in years
--It appeared we played but mostly 8 men--They got tired --or so it seemed.
--FREEBIES --HORRIBLE
Milt must have had a ton of assists to go with his paltry 9 points--No complaints---His play was pure.
--Turk is learning but still a tad slow --He chased too much down the lane
--Let's face it we won despite NO height--by shooting and defending well.
--Porter was a Coach this night --The team responded---eg our #0 made an error--PM pulled him--really yelled at him but MOST importantly yelled " Now GET BACK IN THE GAME -RIGHT NOW " Would sit this player last year. BIG Difference.
KSU folks were great hosts --made sure Ben and I were comfortable--
Thanks for noticing me , GANG--------
Would it not be neat to go 9-1 !!!!!!!!
This appears to be a new deal, GUYS !!

GO RAMBLERS @!!

Looks like both teams excelled at defending the FT's tonight.

Loyola is a fun team. The move to the MVC is paying off.

Nice win tonight!
