Robbie Aces-
It has to do with money. Some of our senior administrators are just not truthful with their motives or with the actual facts. When you rely on direct reporting for all of your decision making it's easy to cover your behind.

Couple of things. I think it was two years ago at UIC. There was a nice pre-game gathering at UIC, with a meal in Little Italy and then walk to the game. It was a nice time. But the experience has to be fun or enjoyable especially for the students. I remember going to track meets because they had buses with kegs on the bus.
I am hoping that because the new Ad is a basketball guy who has also had experience with basketball operations and game day stuff that he was so disgusted by the game day experience he saw at the Tulane game that changes will be made??

A bit late here, but looking at the box score...giving up 22 offensive rebounds and having 20 less field goal attempts. And win by double digits, on the road? That can't happen very often, can it? UIC's 3-20 from long range was the kicker there. Great to beat UIC, thought the response at the end of the first half after UIC made their run to tie it really set the tone for the second half.

Their missed 3-point attempts (and some 2s and foul shots) were so bad that the ball bounced wildly way off the rim. We often had good position, but didn't get the rebound. For more normal misses, I thought we were pretty competitive against a bigger team.

This did happen quite a bit. I don't know if I would say we often had good position, but UIC did get some bounces off of really bad shots.
