If there's any positive you can take from 19 turnovers, I guess still being within single digits on the road?

Color me shocked about this outcome. We covered against a top 25 team in their building. That said, we could have won this game. Too many turnovers combined with a terrible stretch of shooting.

All of that said, this team is pretty good. I hope this game doesn't send us on a losing streak. That's what teams in the past have done. Can't let it happen again.

They beat us by nine--SO ???? We must stop the turn-overs. We eliminate half the t/os, we might have won a roadie. Our team will be just fine. IF we go Three and three after six games we should have an easier road after that.
I like our chances.

Glad we covered. Earned me $100!

I agree, we could definitely have won this game. I think a lot of the unforced errors could be attributed to nerves. We have a young group of guys who are playing in front of a good crowd against a top 25 team. I expect the game to be close when we play them again at home and potentially get a win.

With that said, I do worry about the next two games. Evansville is a pretty good team that lost a tough game to Indiana State in OT. They'll be looking to bounce back against our Ramblers. Wichita State is...well Wichita State. I don't think they'll run us out of the building, but it will definitely be tough to beat them at home.

I hope Moser and the team use this game as a learning opportunity and move forward quickly. This is going to be a long and competitive season!

Porter has to trust in the uptempo more. It was responsible for our best run at the end of the game. We need more possessions to overcome our lack of inside presence.

Earl a little too trigger happy though

Agreed! We had an opportunity to really close the gap there and Earl kind of blew it. Doyle should have been the one taking those shots!

Too many little mistakes. Force feeding the ball inside against an experienced team like UNI, sometimes against double teams. A little too anxious on some of the pass receptions in traffic, etc. To me, the killer was the late rebound by the free throw shooter on the miss, and that was an example of the little things that add up to a loss against a top 25 team on the road. But we've got so many newcomers, it's bound to happen. Hopefully we'll learn from it. Still our best performance at UNI against the best UNI team we've played.

Here's something from Captain Obvious:
We have a great opportunity to not play on Thursday night.

I don't think that is necessarily obvious. Indiana State and Missouri State seem reluctant to play on Thursday. Drake and SIU seem to embrace the inevitable. It's kind of hard to predict who the other two teams will be this early.

Has anyone else noticed that we have a player on the bench who is not listed on the roster? I'm assuming he's a walk on...

Check out the mini-highlight video of Knuth's 3-pt. shot. There is a player that sits on the right of Cal Kennedy. Anyone know who he is?
