Check out the mini-highlight video of Knuth's 3-pt. shot. There is a player that sits on the right of Cal Kennedy. Anyone know who he is?

Jay Jay Elvir. He's a walk on. He's on the printed roster at games; not sure why he isn't listed online, but now that it's been pointed out on Ramblermania, I'm sure it will be fixed.

I have seen him before at the games too but I'm not sure who it is.

One interesting stat is that Joe Crisman, despite starting, only played 8 minutes. He played 9 minutes against Bradley. It looks like Knuth is taking a lot of his minutes.

I think Earl Peterson is getting a lot of Crisman's minutes. Knuth got a lot of James' minutes in this game.

Also of interest-- in the +/- numbers, Rajala was tops for Loyola at +6.

Given UNI's style of play, I'm shocked Rajala didnt get more minutes.

Speaking of interesting stats...we actually out-rebounded UNI by 3. Ultimately the turnovers cost us the game(19 total turnovers; 12 in the first half). That and the fact that we allowed UNI to go to the free throw line 27 times. UNI converted on 18 of 27 from the charity stripe in contrast to our 7 of 10. Limit the turnovers and the silly fouls and we can win this game next time.

Good job, Knuth (especially).
Good job, Milton (especially).
Good job, all Ramblers!!!

I just managed to see the last few minutes of the game. I was impressed by the intensity of the team.
Good luck, all Ramblers, players (of course) and fans - present and (hopefully) future.

The odd thing about all the turnovers yesterday is who committed them:

4 - Crisman (In 8 minutes??)
3 - Thomas (??)
3 - Peterson
2 - Doyle
2 - Turk
2 - James (In 10 minutes??)
1 - Ingram
1 - Knuth
1 - White

A lot of the turnovers came from trying to force passes into the paint. I know we were trying to establish an inside game to open things up a bit, but some of them were so well telegraphed that the double teams came very quickly. Thomas normally has really good hands, but going up against Tuttle's long arms was too much if he didn't get the pass in the exact place out in front of him. I don't specifically remember any of Crisman's turnovers, but there was a four minute stretch there where where none of our players could hold on to the ball. You knew they were good, especially at their place, but it was ugly for a while.
