A glimmer of hope???????????? Montel James was out the last time we played WS correct ? PLayed maybe a minute on a bad wheel. So maybe MVC newcomer of the week becomes MVC player of the week and LU pulls the upset. Also Jeff White comes out of his shell and scores 20.... That is my fantasy and Im sticking to it.

Well we have a few things working for us-

1.) James return. Even though Doyle's the better player, I feel we have some pieces who can step in at the guard position (Keke, Turk, even Crisman and Richardson) and replace his minutes. Other than Thomas, we don't really have another post option. Also, mark my words: this could be a defining game for Donte Ingram.
2.) Frankamp's DUI. I doubt that it has much of an effect on the WSU players who are actually eligible to play, but another headache around the program doesn't hurt and could throw GM's preparation off.
3.) Hubris. The shockers are coming off a dominant win against an opponent whose coach "disrespected" them after their first matchup in which WSU looked awful against them. WSU knows that they're way more talented than us, especially without Doyle, and they proved it on our home court. They could also be caught looking ahead to a big showdown this weekend at UNI.

I still think we lose, but for momentum and confidence's sake, we need to keep this a single digit game.

The Vegas line has yet to come out. At home against WSU we were 7.5 dogs, but that was before losing Doyle and WSU made their recent surge. Our worst point spread thus far this season was being an 18 point dog at Michigan State, and last time out WSU was a 24.5 favorite over Drake (which they beat by almost 10 points). So it's quite possible we'll hit the 20 point underdog mark for the first time this year.

Well, as for me, I feel our depleted troops will NOT quit. That's for sure. Our guys will do the best they possibly can. I hope this will be the LAST time ANY team in Conf will be judged better than us. It stops NOW ! Doyle and Earl get back soon--we start winning--These injuries clobbered us BUT it will end shortly.

From this point on the RAMBLERS will serve notice on one and all, that the Shockers. Trees Panthers or whomever own us. The League Championship is not theirs by Divine Right--That part is soon to be over. The League got a small taste of us this season--It will be tougher for the other nine as we go down the line.

This bunch of ours is for NOW a little short , a tad banged up--BUT that stops now. or shortly.

For Wed game--hit a ton of threes--It should open it up down low and take our chances from there.

Game time. As Brot said, let's hope Porter lets our guards like Keke, Turk, Richardson, and Ingram open up the offense with some running, creative passes, and some 3 balls. We've got nothing to lose tonight. Go Ramblers.

Peterson is in the starting lineup tonight. Hopefully he's not too limited.

Have to say I'm impressed with the Montel vs Carter matchup so far.
