For the coming season, the Ramblers only have 11 scholarship players, two short of the maximum. I am assuming Moser doesn't plan to use the remaining two scholarships this year, but has reserved them for 2014-2015 so that he can sign high school seniors Jay Knuth and (hopefully) Sean O'Mara.
Since current NCAA rules provide that scholarships are renewable one year commitments only, why not use one of the available scholarships to reward London Dokubo for his accomplishments as a walk-on these past two years? This could be a one year deal only, and his scholarship could be rescinded next year so that Moser could use it elsewhere. It would be a nice gesture, not to mention a financial blessing for London.
Butler did something similar last season with walk-on Alex Barlow, who was awarded a scholarship in January following his heroics at the Indiana game.
While I think scholarships in general should be for four years, in this instance I wouldn't object to Dokubo receiving a one year award provided he was informed at the start that it would be for one year only.
