Any win on the road in conference is a good win. To do it without Doyle and Thomas is even better. Credit to the team for recovering and taking the lead back after blowing the big lead.

Whew. I'll take the win, but way too close for comfort! How did we manage to give up a 15 pt lead? Also...with 5 seconds left in the game, why would we not foul? Why allow Missouri state a chance to make a 3 and send the game to overtime?!

As we have said all along--all of us--There is NO quit in this team--none whatsoever. Earl and Devon and some great Defense with a little Montel thrown in.

Gosh we will be tough when Christian and Milton get back--I HOPE SOON --like next game !!!

Incredible poise by the freshmen and newcomers, great leadership and hustle by Crisman. It was painful to watch them lose a 15 point lead, but for them to come back and play strong down the stretch on the road, with no Thomas or Doyle, under the weight of a five game losing streak... impressive.

Give Crisman a lot of credit. Could have sulked but really showed senior leadership. Great inbounds play by Crisman to direct Richardson for the long pass. Nice leadership by Peterson in trying to get to the hoop and after some failures to get a key basket. Richardson has ice in his veins and will really be a good one. Nice development of the freshman of Ingram, Richardson and Knuth. Rajala will just need more time and he will gain his confidence. He was needed to give James a breather. Nice bounceback by James especially hitting those two free throws late in the game.

We can beat Indiana State Saturday. That will be a big game.

And another thing--We never did think this team would succeed as they have--No height--then down go our two best with another playing at half speed --turf toe--and still they hang in.
Other than sheer guts--we have ONE HUGE important thing--DEPTH !! It saved us this night as it has all year. Re this-- our pre-season sched helped bring out this depth.
Now then . let's get on with it !!

I didn't get to see the game, but I was thinking this afternoon that Richardson needed to have a good game soon. Seemed like that happened. Maybe Turk goes off Saturday.

Huntie ! Turk did exactly what I hoped he would do--He got us off and running almost immediately with a three---He only had three but they came when needed--
Now then Richardson did awaken JUST IN TIME and Earl looked to be moving better, If those three hit consistently from outside , we will be a force as planned. Christian and Milt will make this an awesome bunch of little people --The Defense will improve some but our scoring will erupt--I like our upcoming chances !!
