John C. Thomas is a 1994 graduate of Loyola University Chicago in Journalism and Public Relations. He founded Ramblermania in July 1998 as a fan site and message board for Loyola Ramblers men’s basketball.
Since 2007, Thomas has worked in Chicago and lived in Normal, help Illinois– maintaining a residence in each city and racking up some serious Amtrak travel. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Connect Transit (the public transit system for Bloomington-Normal) since 2009, and he helped negotiate the system’s universal access transit agreement with Illinois State University. His immersion in the culture of the Missouri Valley Conference since moving to Normal has renewed his passion for college sports and prompted his return to editing Ramblermania as Loyola joined the MVC.
