I know you guys realize what we are doing this year so far besides winning !! We are RUNNING !! YAY !! We beat a much taller team that truly could NOT keep up !! BEEEEAUTIFUL !!!
Against SJU we were apparently NOT ready for whatever reason--We learned for sure and came through !!

Cannot wait to read the stories and see the stats !!

Am truly proud of our RAMBLERS !!

HUGE win for the teams confidence; especially when going against bigger teams.

Great seeing Donte continue to assert himself on offense more and convert at a solid clip. Clayton and Milt came up big down the stretch keeping them from getting too close; and man Aundre is POLISHED under the hoop. Love his over under move.

Gotta love what you were seeing out their; I wish we could have stretched the lead a little more late to avoid going through the free throws; there was way too much late game fouling on our part. But still they held it together and finished it for a great win.

Interesting tournament. I think we learned a lot about the team in the three games, who we can depend on to execute in certain situations, etc.

Aundre Jackson is really impressive. He plays so you hardly notice him out there on the court, but he piles up the numbers and plays very solid. He was 21 for 26 from the field over the three games for a 80.8 field goal percentage. And he won MVC newcomer of the week.

Against Washington State, Loyola was up against two experienced seniors in the frontcourt who stand 6'10" and 7'0" respectively. And the team met the test, managing to stay close in points in the paint (WSU 40, LUC 36) and rebounds (WSU 33, LUC 32).

Custer, Richardson, Ingram, and Doyle all have the capabilities to strike for 20 points or more if they benefit from a mismatch. Or three or four of them could each hit 10-14 as they did for most of the games this year. The question is how much can we get from Satterwhite, Skokna, Granic, Smith (DNP against WSU), and Kirby on any given night? Having Chastain available is more significant than just watching him develop as a freshman, I really think he could have given us 10-15 productive minutes per game, which would mean less reliance on Satterwhite, Doyle, and Ingram.

Satterwhite definitely flashed some today to me on offense, defense, and on the boards. If he can avoid foul trouble he may offer the most of our available freshmen given our needs... Skokna looks like he's in a shooting slump, but if he breaks out i think we can also depend on him to provide good play in spurts.

Worth noting that Jackson's currently top 5 in the nation for FG %. This list is based on yesterday but his % over the past two days should keep it the same... or at the least in the top 10.

I am very excited for this team. Great win today! I look forward to returning back to the states and joining back into the hopefully growing student section (I am a junior studying abroad) at the beginning of next semester. I have talked to a few people who are also abroad this semester and I will be bringing them along with me to continue to try and create a better student presence at the games.

Good win and a successful trip. Have to wonder if streak's theory about the travel is correct. We did not play a characteristic game vs St. Joe's, but it is nice to see the team bounce back.

Good on Milt getting tough buckets and making free throws down the stretch. Donte was on fire after his season-long slump last year. I really like watching Aundre play. He has a real knack to score.

I thought showing a little press was smart. It made it a little tougher for WSU to set up and feed the post.

We have started well, of course--I especially like that we took 5th place, the best we could do after the St Joe loss--which loss just may be an aberration.

--Which brings me to Streak's theory re the travel--Streak generally speaks from solid inside info--hence his comment re travel is not a theory but most likely may be FACT !!
--So far our team IS a team--We have FIVE different players at almost TEN or more PPG in scoring--Balanced--If this keeps up the MVC will be challenged by us.---Hard to defend five or six solid scorers. I love this Of course. Some --I say some--of our opponents and their Fans might not
--Cannot give Porter and his Coaches enough credit for this early season success--SUPERB !!
--Scoring in the eighties against ORU and WSU is not the same as 80s against Eureka et all. ( Our wins against the first three got us started nicely, though .
--Milton is truly a champion !! And all the rest are benefitting as is he !!
