I have never met Milt in person. Yet, I have, like most others on this thread, followed his career here from the very start, and I have lived and died with so many moments in so many games watching Milt, always seeming to be there at the end. What a big heart! He has shown amazing ability and athleticism on the court. Fans expected so much from Milt and he gave us way more! Way, way more.... What a ride he has given Rambler fans, and I hope it goes on into St. Louis. He deserves to go out with a real highlight finish to an amazing career at Loyola. I cannot thank him enough for coming to LU and staying the course. I dare to say that because of him, I have never had as much enthusiasm for this program and what it could become. I think he set the bar for what we expect here and I thank him for that effort. He has carried this team on his back when needed, and has grown into having the ability to step back and make other players better and productive too. His ability to draw a crowd and give it up for an easy bucket or an open three to someone else amazed me time and time again.
I have never met Milt, but I think I know him well. Only an amazing young man plays with his level of effort, thru thick and thin. Thanks for bringing your talents to LU and sharing your game with us Rambler fans. You are a special person and I wish you nothing but success and happiness in all of your future endeavors.

Put Milton in with Kerris Golston Schilb Alfredrick Hughes Hunter and Harkness---as my ALL LOYOLA TEAM !!
As Honorable mention a certain biggie on the 1986 team !!!!
Kou Martin Egan and Red join in as Hon Mention--
To me, DOYLE was the best team player of them all !
I just know I have forgotten some greats BUT there you are !!!
Anyone else care to list ????

I think that Vic Rouse and Andre Battle belong on the roster too.
Let's go Braden!

Good Call 64 !! Battle for sure and who can forget the last hoop in 1963 ???
It has been my good fortune to have seen them all --some more than others--
Memories Kerris; ambidextrous hook shot
--The team !! All of them trashing Duke in 63 semis-- Probably the best all around meaningful game LUC ever played
--Knocking off Kentucky in the NIT--( KY was supposed to shave points but win--They shaved all right !! We won !!
--Big Al screaming from atop the pile on the floor after we beat Oral Roberts on their floor to get the 85 bid !! I was close to the pile and heard him yell out " "Aint gonna be no Committee meeting this time !!"
--Watching us play in the STADIUM on Tuesday and Saturday evenings , with Longshot by my side !!!
--AND of course beating DePewl and Marquette from time to time !!
--Lastly when 25 had me to a Sat game couple years back --lots of nice things happened to me that day Totally unexpected but THRILLING all the same. A week-end I shall never forget
--And Oh Yes !! John Thomas and I sitting in Cleveland watching BUTLER getting ousted in first round of Horizon Tourney--THAT was the game that prodded the "League" to change the seeding rules and probably got LUC thinking to get out of the Conf. And along came the Valley !!
Lots more but I ramble on---!!!
RUN RAMBLERS !!!

Re: The Milton Doyle THANK YOU!!! Thread
I've run into Milton and his mom randomly over the last few years, and I'm certain others on here have as well. I always knew who they were, but, even though I knew, and they knew I knew who they were, they never said anything and I'd never heard them say anything like "hey, I'm ___"...which I've always loved. They didn't care if I knew who they were, they've always just been a player and her son just faces at the games. But you could always sense the love. That's a big reason why I want to see this team in particular want to make some history the next two weeks. Give them something spectacular and memorable to end his collegiate career on. Because they deserve it.

Not even a mention yet for David Bailey? Talk about forgotten...the only time we've come close to (as in a few heartbreaking seconds away from) the Tournament the last 30 years was one of his teams.
Re: The Milton Doyle THANK YOU!!! Thread
You are so right 01. Add David Bailey, Darius Clemons, Wayne Sappleton, Ralph Vallott, and Kenny Miller for leading the nation in rebounding in his only year of college ball.
