How about the day Loyola had on Friday?
Women's Volleyball was at the Valpo Tournament and beat Elon (3-1) and Savannah State (3-0). They'll play Kennesaw State and host Valpo today to conclude the tournament.
Women's soccer beat South Dakota State at the Marquette Invitational, 2-1 in overtime. They're now 4-2-1.
Men's soccer beat Stetson 1-0 in double overtime at the NIU Invitational, improving to 2-2-1 on the season.
But the big story was Cross Country. The men and women were competing at the Illinois State Invitational against Illinois State, DePaul, Iowa, SIUE, UIC, and Eastern Illinois, plus North Central on the men's side and Northern Illinois and Illinois on the women's side. The women won their side of the event and the men finished third, close behind Illinois State and Iowa. That's pretty big to win a 9-team meet hosted by a conference rival and including two Big 10 schools. So congrats to women's cross country on a great day.
