Women's Hoops Championship

Post by JCT »

Loyola gets the 5th seed, and will face #4 seed Southern Illinois-- a team Loyola swept in the regular season. If the Ramblers get to the semifinals, they're likely to face Northern Iowa. LU split with UNI, the top seed in the league, however UNI seemed to get better as the year went along.

Here's all the info about the MVC women's basketball tournament, which is in Moline, Ill. for the first time ever.

I enjoyed watching them play this year. They play at a fun tempo and seem to shoot it pretty well.

Tough loss for them. I watched the game, and they were playing well until Taylor Manual couldn't play 100% after what looked like an ankle injury. Then after the Ramblers started to mount a comeback, she fell on her arm, and it looked like she hurt her shoulder, and eventually SIU ran away. Sad to see the season end like that, but they should be even better next year with only Becca Smith graduating.

Led most of the game, but fall to SIU. We should be better next year, but things can happen to throw good planning and hard work out the window.
