My question is whether Swoopes had any years left on her contract and was bought out, or was she fired for cause, in which case xxx he wouldn't be entitled to a buy out.

I think she had two more years left. I believe the Tribune article said through 2018.

Everything here implies a settlement. Even though the Trib said FIRED...the press release did not as well as saying THANKS for your service.. ALso in the Swoops comment she said basically satisfied with the results but not the outcome. Lets me believe that the report could not substantiate anything illegal but obviously they could not bring her back. So I am guessing that she got her money and a no talk clause. I am guessing that there was also a u dont sue me I wont sue u clause. Also a never release the report.
I also do not think we will see any consequences for AD Watson.....maybe in the future a reorginization of how athletics is handled ,,,,Kelly wont get the ax but athletics will be out of his area. The only outcome that is benificial is that we will never see Swoops coach again and LU will get a real womens coach.
The whole thing smells rotten but you cant make rotten fruit fresh again..best result? get it out of the house.

She's still pouring salt into the wounds, by talking nonsense!!. This was done very sloppy!! They paid her something I'm sure. I wish they would release the findings but im sure they will not because of all the things the kids reported it would be a major embarrassment to the university. If I was her I would walk away and be quiet. This program is in disarray, kids have been mentally abused and she continues to make statements. One good thing as you've said previously she will never Coach again!!!!
